If anyone is interested, just posted my nearly new Marbot for a relative steal. Just need to swap out the lenses with the stock lenses or your own Rx.

I’ve always liked the Marbot, but it’s just too ding dang narrow for fat heads. Too bad they don’t make one with 60mm lenses that are about 150mm wide.

Excellent - good luck on the new gig. Hope it’s fulfilling and lucrative enough to allow you to extend your collection as you see fit!
And I’ll throw some extra good wishes your way for being so stylish in an occupation notorious for its high schlub quota. Keep fighting the good fight matey!
I appreciate that TWD!
Let's see what fortunes, personal and professional, the new gig brings! I do have my eye on a Bogart in Black, and the upcoming Alin in Burgundy looks interesting...

Ooooh. That Alin looks nice! Too narrow for me, but nice looking. There was a crazy punk rocker named GG Alin back the day. Are these named for him?

Not sure. Doing a quick search on GG Alin, I don't see the connection. And the ad copy on JMM's website doesn't indicate this connection.

Where have you guys been doing B/S/T? I looked at the B/S/T thread here and it doesn't look very active. Grailed and eBay also seem to have very slow sales.

With so many frames being released I can't imagine there are thousands upon thousands of frames just sitting in shops.. although I suppose it's possible but would be a shame.

I stopped by a few third party shops this week and one location pulled out 5 boxes of back stock of frames (nothing remarkable, mainly odd styles and colors) dating back to 2017.

It would be interesting to find a list of frames with numbers and find out where they might be - kind of like a Beckett price guide where you could also see if the frames had even been sold.

Just went down this rabbit hole. Obscure type of guy I am glad to know about now so I can also reference him when I feel there is an opportunity 😂

Well, I was aware of him back in my younger days when I was a young whipper snapper and took a listen to some of his music, but it just wasn’t my cup of tea. He really blew up when he was on an episode of the Jerry Springer Show back in the day. I really liked that show before it took a turn. Jerry! Jerry! Jerrrrey!

Hey everyone! Has anyone come across a Dixon in Fog (sunglasses version) in any of your searching, US / NON-US.. doesn't matter. I've found one in the US from an AD but is priced over retail. Please send me a message if you have any potential sightings. Thanks!

If you’re interested in GG Allin, Todd Phillips, director of the hangover, joker, old school, documented GG allin as part of his nyu thesis, all the way up until the day he died. The film is called Hated.

Although I can see a certain resemblance, I also see them quite different: the Grand Prix being a classical aviator (teardrop) shape and the Richard being a particular oval one. Besides, the Richard looks noticeably lighter, therefore offered as an optical.
