Just got the email about new releases in ‘cobra’.
Wow - yet another variation on black.

I vaguely remember when I first got into JMMs (Jacques Marie Mage) back around oh page 20 they had a colour called ‘viper’ which I never saw in person but on the website it APPEARED to be a dark bottle green but was likely in reality more like black or near black. Too bad as a dark bottle green would be an interesting variation. Not too wild for the more conservative buyers but different enough to offer an alternative to those who already have enough black.
Why is it that this particular feller, right, can complain incessantly about what he claims are repetitive colors and not one person jumps on him, yet I make a couple of comments about price and marketing strats, right, and I get marginalized as a “troll” from a number of folx?! What a load of malarkey!

Look. I get it, right. A lot of the colors look the same but FOR PETE’S SAKE! This constant drumbeat any time a new color comes out, right, is just so tiresome!

For someone who says he enjoys the brand, right, this feller sure does complain a lot.

As the famed poet Ice Cube said back in the 90s, “check yourself”.

Sorry if my tone is harsh, but it’s how I feel. With my respect.

Yeah the colourway thingy is just not sutainable and leads to this ridiculous situation of coming up with different names for basically the same thing with minute differences.

I’m willing to bet at some point they’ll have to do a non-numbered “permanent collection” with some of the staples (agar, argyle, noir) and release seasonal colourways with those tiny differences.
I bet you’re right. It would make sense.

Look right it’s nothing personal right it’s just that right maybe I’m just more popular that you are right.
You don’t right do yourself right any favours right by persisting with these irritating quirks right in your posting style right despite being told how baroque and unnecessary they are right. Check yourself. Right?

Been enjoying most banter based around JMM here.

I also have a hard time differentiating between all the black frames sometimes. I happen to love Argyle. But the limited color has been part of the brand identity for so long.

Last—please keep any politics out of here.

“What if we take the shorter and wider wirecore of the Umit Benan collab but use the standard wirecore design of the charbons and a slightly different lens colour? We could call it cobra, ain’t that cool?”.

To add some interest, we make the inside of the temples dark green (seems the same colour of Viper) similarly as for Bloodstone (dark red).

There is a chick’s shoe manufacturer known for bright red soles. It is not a part of the shoe that you see, but it’s a detail that people recognize when they see it. These JMM (Jacques Marie Mage) colors remind me of that strat.

Another colorway with misleading photographs is Skye. I ordered it thinking it was black, but it's actually blue. I believe even the website description said it was black.

I have a pair of Kaine in Royal. Inside it looks straight up black. Once outside in direct blazing bright sun, it’s obviously blue. It’s like a chameleon as crazy as it may sound.

Wow, “skye” and “royal” turns out to be shades of blue frames…imagine that

I jest
In my defense, Skye is an island in Scotland. And the product page did say the frame was black.
In other news, Molino 55 is getting two grail colors at the same time: indigo and hickory fade. I've been waiting on them for a while.
