Here another account. Photos of the JMMs are taken on the same couch as the other two sellers. All 3 from Miami:
Don't know what to think of that...

Maybe a legit seller, but needs to use 3 accounts in cause of some Ebay "new" seller limit?

Those are all fake. The original packaging not being available is a big red flag. Be advised.

Maybe they’re getting more creative but they show what looks like an original package and leather sleeve in the background of some pics, and the description says it comes with the original box.

If you ask them for a pic showing the card where it states the unit number (which should match the one engraved in the frame) it would be interesting to see whether they actually send it or they come back with a bs excuse. Also proof of purchase, although tbh I don’t have it for the two pairs I bought in person (Fellini noir and Taos sunkiss) as it didn’t occur to me to keep the receipt, the rest I have as they were bought online.

I suspect that soon counterfeiters will start focusing on the packaging, including certificate etc. and we’ll reach a point that it will be a huge gamble to buy JMM in the second hand market.

Hey all! looking for the Hemmings in any tortoise style colorway, please PM if you have!

Seems to be available here in Samoa (argyle with visible wirecore), albeit with clear lenses. Also it’s funny that looking at the URL they seem to have copied the Altabani product page in the CMS and forgot to update the URL.

Speaking of Walker: I asked a local (as in, in my country) store about a Walker argyle they had for sale, but since it was optical/non-sunglasses it wouldn’t let you purchase online; turns out they had it mislabeled and it was havana instead of argyle (and their pics are so dark and stilized that it was hard to see the difference) so now they’ve fixed it and bumped the price from €725 (original price for havana in euro) to €825 (current price for argyle and other recent colours). Doesn’t that suck.

Also, the acetate in havana 5 reminds me of leopard.

What a low down dirty rotten thing for retailer to have done. The walker in argyle is a site to behold irl (in real life).

Just got the email about new releases in ‘cobra’.
Wow - yet another variation on black.

I vaguely remember when I first got into JMMs (Jacques Marie Mage) back around oh page 20 they had a colour called ‘viper’ which I never saw in person but on the website it APPEARED to be a dark bottle green but was likely in reality more like black or near black. Too bad as a dark bottle green would be an interesting variation. Not too wild for the more conservative buyers but different enough to offer an alternative to those who already have enough black.

Yeah the colourway thingy is just not sutainable and leads to this ridiculous situation of coming up with different names for basically the same thing with minute differences.

I’m willing to bet at some point they’ll have to do a non-numbered “permanent collection” with some of the staples (agar, argyle, noir) and release seasonal colourways with those tiny differences.

“What if we take the shorter and wider wirecore of the Umit Benan collab but use the standard wirecore design of the charbons and a slightly different lens colour? We could call it cobra, ain’t that cool?”.

There have been a few Viper releases lately. Valkyrie, Casius, Delage etc.
