The Ritz looks like a taller Vicious to me. And without the wrap-around.

My wallet is sooo happy that’s been such a long time since a new frame got my attention. I think the last one was the Plaza, and to be honest it’s just another classic design in the vein of Fellini/Enzo/Mollino/Torino. I just keep coming back to the older designs, now I want some Ascaris and Walkers. I just want them to release hickory or rootbeer Ascaris since I missed out on the indigos and be done with it.

The problem is, I often don’t realise I like something right away which doesn’t pair well with the limited release thingy, because by the time I like something it’s too late. Here I am saying I don’t really like any of the new models released this week and maybe in 6 months I’ll be frantically trying to find a pair of gold Scarface, who knows.

JMM should offer MTO where you select frame, acetate colour, hardware (exposed/hidden wirecore, design, and colour) and lens colour. Charge 2x retail.

Add a “MTO pin” somewhere in the temples to simultaneously please MTO buyers (“I paid 2x for these” bragging rights) and avoid pissing off the owners of the original, numbered batch.

None of the new models is for me but I can see the gold Scarface looking cool in the right setting/outfit/guy. It’s very different from the rest of JMM models.

They look rather similar to the frames Brad Pitt brought to the GQ shoot himself. If they look good on him they'll look good on me, right?

What exactly do they mean by “not suitable for driving?” Never seen that warning before.

I've seen this warning on some of the huge women's frames from a few months back. In that case I think the arms were thick enough to completely block the wearer's peripheral vision. In this case the lenses must be very dark on this colorway, because the same warning isn't on the other colors.

JMM just visited my shop (in Minneapolis) with a bunch of frames that were available to order—in production now, delivery late fall and spring. Fun to try on a few frames for sure. Taos (in Hotrod?) below next to an old Fellini (surplus?).

Yes. 3 new models coming out. Scarface on the man in the picture, Ritz on the woman in the picture, and Hollywood, not pictured. But those are optical.

Wow they completely dropped the ball with these. **** I would’ve been excited to buy again if they kept it somewhat similar to the frames in the film. Even the skull (hitman that kills Tony) doesn’t look like any models. The one BP is wearing looks like Cutler & Gross to me

Maybe it has to do with the lens color and how it may distort color perception? Maybe because the thickness of the acetate obscures vision. I’m just guessing f

I think that's the only one it can be. These sunglasses are never duplicates of what the name represents, simply inspired by them. Even the iconic Enzo's don't look like Enzo Ferrari's sunglasses. They are just similar in spirit.
