After reading this thread for a month and looking at way too many sunglasses i bought my first JMM. The black fade challenger was sold out everywhere in EU but i found them on twelvesixtynine and they offer delivery duty paid shipping to germany. I didnt know that was a thing but they were even a little bit less expensive than the german retailer. I feel like they fit my head pretty good and they are way lighter and more comfortable than i expected. In a few days i will get to try on the dealan samoa, not sure if its the right frame for me though.

I didn't realize 1269 had that as an option. Out of curiosity, did you need to fill anything or be in touch with DHL or customs for this?

Does anyone have a face pic of the williams? Tried the crevels and the hisaos but they were both much to small for my face. Really interested in the combination titanium-acetate frames but they all seem like relatively small frames.

Following up on these if anyone is interested. I grabbed the JMM williams and I am very pleased with them; I found it hard to believe I would like a titanium frame compared to my acetate ones, but I love the filigree detail on the arms. I am also amazed by the arm/hinge detail, and I am a little shocked more brands aren't doing this. I also love the london colorway, the bronze arms and very sophisticated brown acetate will work well with my wardrobe, including tailoring. Also really, really light. Lighter than my Shozos, which is to be expected, however it is still shocking just how light they are. I would recommend for anyone who wants an everyday, light pair of glasses. Just because it isn't the acetate JMM is known for, does not mean the quality and attention to detail aren't there. Also if anyone knows of any other frames with that arm detail, share please!

Love the William - it’s actually my most complimented jmm by far. Like 100x more than anything else

Yeah, these frames are perfect. As much as we all like JMM’s, the super chunky acetate look looks a bit “try hard” to most people. The crevel/williams dial back that aesthetic in a frame that’s more ergonomic and wearable, while still having a bold aesthetic. And agree that the London color is amazing

And the hinge construction and titanium etching detailing makes the frames feel more premium than the standard acetates. I’m surprised how easy it is to still find these frames at optical shops knowing how good they are

If the Williams were just 1 mm eye size larger for me they’d be my most worn frame. They are just a tiny bit on the small side for me.

Totally agree. I have six JMM frames and the Crevel are so wearable they are the perpetual go-to's.

Now I'm thinking I really need a London William to join my Noir Crevel. I need to stay the hell away from this forum.

These models are just too ding dang small for my fat ole face. As much as I like them, I would look like a fool if I wore them. Personally, I need at least a 148 overall width for a frame to look in proportion to my face. Sad but true as the song says.

I’ve been around toddlers, and they always for glasses for some reason. Dangerous for expensive frames. Be sure to have some cheap beater glasses from Costco.

Bit confused by this - what concerns you about the longevity? These feel more solidly constructed than the all acetate frames I have as the unique hinge feels indestructible. I have a pair of molinos whose entire arm snapped off from the hinge… definitely not happening on these

And I doubt jmm is the right brand if toddlers are going to be playing with your glasses anyways 🤣

Id go with something like Lindberg or mykita for a premium brand with this use case. A toddler could snatch off your face and drop these without even needing an adjustment

William and Crevel may be comfortable because of their thinness, but, frankly, don't see why they should stand out in comparison with other frames, pretty "normal" in my eyes.
