Ding, ding, ding, DING! We have a winner! These two frames are very similar. Nice catch, Mr. LuisedPicked!
They look nothing like the Stargazer, you're being swayed by the sun shields. The Tiros shape on the other hand ...

The specs appear to be smaller than the orginal GT which is good.
I don't know. Those acetate lens-rim inserts decreases the lens width measurement, and may increase the bridge measurement. The total width is 151 mm which is just shy of the 1980. Since I have a couple GT's I'm more interested in the Commander, but it looks like I have plenty of time to think it over.

I disagree. This is not a good thing. The original GT was a good size. This GT-R may be too small. The march towards ever smaller frames persists. I wonder if this is also driven by less expensive production costs?

Ahhhh. I see this makes sense too. My above comment may have been hasty.

Also, can they update the by-line? O-60 in 5.3 seconds is slow as piss. Let’s say 0-60 in 2.8 seconds at most. C’mon, man! AIR?

Nitpicking much? You sound like someone has stolen the jam from your donut.
You’re right. That is nitpicking. I was in a foul mood when I wrote that. The GT-R looks bad ash. (Wonder if Nissan will be upset about the use of GT-R given that they have a car called GTR?)

P.S. I like the jam and donut line. I taking that as my own to use IRL (in real life).

As I tried them on few months ago in a Berlin shop, I knew that the Union Agar had to be added to my collection.

Recently I bought the Hickory colourway, which I certainly like, but I still regretted having missed out on the Agar.

I kept browsing the web and finally saw that the Union official site still had all the colourways, so I immediately ordered my Agar frame.

Congratulations! I hope you enjoy them.

Ok now just hear me out on this everyone. Agar ranks close to argyle for colorways, especially for toroise, right. I know opinions can vary, but mine is that agar is fantastic. Argyle, agar, camel—all are excellent, right.

Congrats on your purchase, I also have the Agar version and I find it to be the best one. Looking at the photos of the new colors online (Hickory, etc.), it seems to me that they might have slightly changed the shape... since you have both versions (the first version Agar and the second version Hickory), could you do a comparison? Maybe it's just in the photos, but I see the new versions as slightly different in design.

Ocre looks good to me.

I would prefer a tortoise pattern for these frames, and I managed to locate a Torino in Havana 6. You've mentioned a couple times on this thread that Havana 6 is similar to Argyle. My understanding is that Havana is supposed to be a little darker than Argyle, but would you say there are any other differences between these two colors? Mostly worried that Havana 6 might be too yellow for my taste.

I know this is completely off topic, but does anyone have any experience with Sato eyewear? I saw a model I like and I would appreciate some input on quality, materials...
Also which other brands other than JMM would you recommend/you're into?
Thanks

They actually look similar.

Havana 6 looks less speckled, especially on the front, not so yellow to me. Or do you mean the lenses?
