Yeah, the dagger on the front is sufficient…… the crossbones are verging on CH…..Honestly I don’t mind the shape but I really don't like the crossbones.
Since I’m keeping my jmm ban promise, keep digging up other new frames. I believe these dita warthen are a new (limited edition) release and I like them. Like a love child between a hemmings and a Quentin. Though the price on these is a bit ridiculous I think
OK guys I need an honest opinion... am enthralled with JMM I'm actually getting a new pair the Lucknow in the black fade next week but..... I also love Cutler and Gross and to be honest I wear CG daily and Jmm on the weekends/ gatherings and occasion. These are in my next months rotation so here is where you come in, which colorway is more...... winterish lol View attachment 2121073 View attachment 2121077
Favourite compliment anyone here has gotten?
I loved "You look like a movie star" from a random passerby.
Black Fellinis with 20% yellow tint.
Frame preference aside (not a huge fan of those), I prefer the green ones. My daily driver is also a pair of C&G. The 1393 which are a fantastic frame shape. I put RX lenses with the blue light filter in them and work in front of a computer, so they get the majority of the wear.OK guys I need an honest opinion... am enthralled with JMM I'm actually getting a new pair the Lucknow in the black fade next week but..... Hopefully they'll look halfway descent on my faceNice frame which fits you well. As others said, the detailing is not my taste either.
By the way, not impressed by the Lucknow, but it could look better on a face than being beheld on its own.

Haha I feel your pain bro!In all the years i owned JMM… ive worn 18 different models out in the wild.. and not a single compliment 🤔😂 maybe im just really unappealing … or unapproachable 🤣 I don’t count gallerists, or opticians… yes they have complimented my glasses but i think we were discussing out amongst the public…
Amongst the public situations- I did encounter someone wearing dealans and they smiled back at me, i was wearing my Quentin's… someone was staring at me when i was outside the movie theater wearing my 1948s. Never said a word to me just stared 😅..oh and i was behind a real jerk in line at a shop, he wearing Hemmings… if you’re on this board, lol sorry but sheesh what a pri** … but yeah jokes aside no real compliments…it is cool when you encounter fellow JMM enthusiasts.. i love that I don’t see many folks out and about in JMM still makes me feel a little special inside 😄
Love the 60s British mod scene and style 😎 my best bud really got into being influence by the 60s Mod fashion and adopted the mod style both in his daily fashion for work and day to day life, even his wedding with us in slim cut suits and ties and such… I actually helped influence his eyewear too 🤓Haha I feel your pain bro!
Similar situation - The main reason I started up my blog was that I was (am) an Englishman whose style is largely influenced by the sixties Mod scene in England, living in the US in a state where you’re considered well dressed if you’re wearing long trousers! I travel on the job and get compliments all the time at hotels and airports etc but I just wanted to feel some connection with people who “got” where my style influences came from without having to trot out the whole origin story!😁

The reserve colorway would be a winner for me it if wasn’t for the gold on the side. Something about gold and burgundy just irks me.New colourways available for Walker and Hemmings, unfortunately nothing really exciting.
My favourite will be Havana 6 (which is very similar to Argyle, though) for the former and Agar for the latter.
