Ok guys, gonna write a huge PSA/cav empt here to make sure everyone knows what's going on...JMM is now so widely faked, and for almost every model, that I would only buy used frames from highly reputable sources.

I recently got got from Mercari trying to buy a used Marbot frame. If I was new to JMM, and didn't have titanium models, it would have rather difficult for me to figure out whether or not these were fakes. I haven't personally held any of the fake acetate models, but I imagine it can be even more difficult.

Everything was seemingly in the right place, and eerily close to the originals. It had all the right markings in all the right places, but they were just slightly off.

The biggest dead giveaways I found were the fake hinge on the side and the weight. But I swear you guys, if it was an acetate frame where weight was less noticeable and it didn't have complex details...it might have passed for me.

Genuine. That hinge is fake by design

Okay, @troika and @lsterling have me a little spooked. I just had my first pair arrive yesterday - the Dealan in Indigo. I was hoping to make my first purchase from the BST thread for peace of mind but this was my favorite colorway and the eBay auction price seemed favorable but nothing crazy cheap. Listing just had stock pics but seller sent actual photos via message.

The batch #/350 is consistent between the frame, certificate, and Arianee via the included QR code - is that even fakeable?! I can't find this colorway on Aliexpress or any rep subreddits. The build quality feels similar to what I handled at Blink Optical (albeit for only 30 minutes over a month ago). I'd happily share pics to confirm - would be a bummer if fugazi!

If you've held genuine JMMs and these don't feel off, I'd bet they're real. I have a really hard time believing you could pass off a fake once in-hand.

You're probably ok, just check that the code is JMMDE-9F. DE is for Dealan, 9F is for Indigo.

Cross-posting from the BST thread: Has anyone bought from 5100hm on Grilled.com? Looks like they have many JMMs for sale and wondering if they’re legit.
