People can choose to take a stance over this if they wish but as a non Facebook member I honestly don’t give a **** and there are plenty of other avenues we can use to buy and sell. Jerome himself looked like a right knob anyway with his ridiculous hair and a strong whiff of cultural appropriation about some of his designs so I’m not shocked at all to learn he’s acting like a twat.

Like someone said above if it bothers people that much they can vote with their wallet. I have enough JMMs that if I never bought any more I’d be well covered. (Although I’m contemplating another case which will currently leave three empty slots to be filled!!😁😁)

If the entirety of Facebook blew up tomorrow it wouldn’t affect my life one iota.
FWIW I agree with most people's assertion on this matter, but deep down the argument isn't so much about Jackyboy licking Zuckerboy's left testicle, or vice versa, it's the moral code associated with plucking pubic hair from the people who have built up his brand via the use of their wallet. As they say, greed harvests greed, and the more money people pump into the brand, the extrapolation factor will forever tickle Jackyboy's egotistical southwestern metaphorical manner. Please pardon my undertone but I for one, have an axe to grind, and if I were to play fiddle in reality, I would take my tomahawk and scalp that ridiculous mohican patch straight from his scalp.

This comment right here wins for its sentiment and delivery. Truly poetic. Bookmarking this for a future chuckle.

I've now sold all my JMM frames apart from this Montana Reserve which I'm now keeping. I rarely post photos of myself on here but feel free to critique.

Very well put together, with an enjoyable humorous undertone.

Although I feel differently and regret your decision of selling the whole collection, I can understand and respect your stance.

As for the Montana, even setting aside my dislike for aviators, I seem to recall having seen better looking frames on you (Fellini, for example). Not saying it does look bad, not at all.

Hi all, I am thinking about letting go a pair of BNIB Fellini Eclipse, in case anyone here might be interested. I´d be willing to get retail price back. Please DM for more information or pictures.

To be honest, I only sold my frames out of necessity due to the wallet currently being squeezed, and not because of Jackyboy's latest antics.

Fellini is still my favorite JMM frame and I do plan to buy that again in Taupe to use as opticals. Regarding the Montana, I was never convinced those suit my face shape however I do like the frame design and colorway ;)

My thoughts for what it’s worth(not a lot).

when the brand was small(er) there was a ‘mystique’ about it, retro styling, Japanese artesnal cratfsmanship. A community of enthusiasts, that made us feel we were onto something special, maybe I’m over romanticising a company that makes luxury glasses….. but with this dick move, I feel its all a little bit corporate, a little mainstream and tbh a little bit of the enthusiasm has died( that and a few other dick moves).
I’ll get over it and J won’t feel a thing, it’s just a shame it goes like this really….

My parasocial relationship with Jerome extends to having dreams about a tete-a-tete power strategy meeting with the top minds at JMM [I got a private invite because I am a VIC (Very Important Collector)].

The intern brings in Sightglass coffee and treats (they know us and give us a discount in exchange for access to pre-release colourway info to post online), then we pop out for a quick dinner at Mr. T's just down the street on Sycamore. We end the night with a quick preview of the new JMM x Ferrari collaboration Thunderclap Frame. I tell them "make it more expensive". They listen to my advice.

I startle awake only to look around my floor mattress and pile of JMM boxes in the corner...darn, I wish Jerky Jerome cared about me.

The key mistake you made in this scenario is not loudly trumpeting the page number on which you joined this thread as clearly that is the only metric that will earn you any credibility. If it was later than page 200 you can forget it your just a rookie maaan!

Har dee har har har guys. I can take a joke as long as it’s with good intent, and I think it was. Good one. Just be careful: that feller named hoodog will pop up here and start calling y’all trolls and spout off about not feeding you.

I love the Kobo, I have it in Noir and Rootbeer, but this Black Fade (picture from Facebook) is probably the best version.

This is a very good fit in my eyes and it shows that you don't need to have a very large head to pull off some wide frames.
