Jacob Cohen jeans

I tried a pair on today. Looks, feels and fits great. Completely handmade in Italy using Japanese fabric.

My only problem is the price tag of $600. Isn't that even more expensive than Tom Ford?

I am eternally curious about such branding. The Jewish haberdashery angle is strangely aspirational for some Italians.

That's disappointing. I saw a pair in (the September issue?) of Men's Ex and thought they looked great, but yes, that price tag is idiocy.

Although a bit more SW&D-esque, PRPS jeans fall into a similar category, for me. They look like crap, pikey jeans, but cost £300 an upwards (not sure of the conversion these days, I know it's not great; $400?).

I agree that $600 is, well...

But I too once dissed expensive selvedge, etc until I bought a pair (Simon Miller).
These things run circles around the typical store brands, Levi's etc in terms of the quality of construction, how they are holding up... just their overall resilency.

This is one issue where I was happy to be proved wrong.

There are Jacob Cohen pants and jeans on YOOX from $129 to $180, fwiw.

If I remember well, in Italy I saw them for about 150-200 Euro. Elsewhere in Europe they are a bit more expensive. I bought a pair for about 150 USD on sale. I would say style/quality similar to some Borelli Luxury Vintage/Incotex/Cucinelli jeans. I would not risk buying them online from Yoox, although nice prices.

I would try some PT01 or PT05 jeans/pants from yoox, have not seem them before there. As for Jacob Cohen, plenty of fancy details and colours. I saw some PT01 and Jacob Cohen jeans for 400+ USD in Gstaad, Switzerland.

An awful lot of labels on the inside of those jeans. I suppose it gives you something to read on the bog?

I only like soft jeans these days and the washed denim on Jacob Cohen's is very appealling. Too expensive though.
