It seems impossible to find a Belstaff Hero jacket anywhere ( nor do i want to pay the full price of 800-1250

). Does anyone know where to get a similar brown leather cycle jacket? I saw on the wilson's leather website that they have something kind of like it, but I'm not convinced of their quality or fit.

Why would you want to look like Tom Cruise?

Just goto your local motorcycle gear store, tell them what your looking for, try it on, buy it. If you don't ride take out the protection gear.

And I'm pretty sure my local motorcycle store isn't going to have the cut I'm looking for. No offense, but if you don't have something helpful to add, just stay out.

I think that Vanson has a similar model in ther "metropolitan" collection, which is a little lighter than their regular jackets (they are still quite heavy duty), and cut more for everyday were (i.e. not just for biking in.)

I don't know how much you want to pay, but Vanson would custom make you one to your specs and size. There are a few other companies that would do that too.

That would probably put him close the 800 dollar figure he doesn't want to pay. I would check out Vanson though anyways, since off the rack retail they start around 450-500 depending on model.

Schott might be worth a shot as well.

If being warned that you are in danger of looking like Tom Cruise isn't helpful, I don't know what is.

But just to make sure I am helpful: I went through this exact process, with that jacket, finding out it was a Tom Cruise jacket, etc. and I ended up getting a custom-fitted full horsehide cafe racer from Aero, for under $700. They do very nice work.
