Jacket fit for taller men—too short?

I'm curious about how jackets should fit on taller men for whom traditional jacket length "rules" conflict. I'm fairly tall (a bit over 6' 2") with a short torso relative to legs (34" inseam). I recently ordered a suit from the Armory (Model 3), which appears to cover my seat nicely, but appears short relative to my arms and stops short of bisecting my silhouette.

The jacket is a bit short, but it's not egregious. I tried the Model 3 and had the exact same issue.

Mark Cho from the Armoury did a great YouTube video about this.

I think the #1 thing is that it needs to cover your seat. Bisecting your height would be #2. The arm thing can get thrown out the window if your proportions are off.

Thanks! Just to confirm: This covers my seat fine?

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
