I've got a friend who is looking to go as suicidal Jack Shephard from Lost for Halloween, and he is looking for a jean jacket the one in this picture:

I recognize that it's pretty ugly, but does anyone have any idea what kind it is, or know of anyone who makes a similar one? Thanks.

Didn't really watch Lost, but this seems like the type of costume you have to explain to every single person you meet.

I kind of early to be planning for a Halloween costume, no? Also, I'll second roundheadlight's suggestion that no one will know who he is supposed to be. Unless he is going to a Lost them party.

Nowhere. Dude, that scene is from like five years ago, where would you even find one?

It looks mid-80's from the style - look on ebay/thrift/vintage shops, if it's just for costume, find one vaguely similar and cut the collar off.

I think it looks nice and would want to own it.

Nice of you to insult me though.

Figure out who did the costume design for the show and email them. May be easier to contact them than you'd think

100% chance its from some label nobody's ever heard of that went out of business 20 years ago and was acquired at a thrift store. and its probably now sealed in some container with the rest of the wardrobe from the show.

How do you feel about spending money on non-essential goods during the Covid-19 crisis?

  • I don't want to spend money at a time of economic uncertainty, even if I could afford it.

  • I feel compelled to spend to help small businesses that are struggling.

  • I reduced my budget for non-essential goods and I'm not spending at the moment.

  • Not much has changed for me and I'm still buying stuff I can't afford.
