I was on a short trip through the states in June and stopped at a Nordstroms to check out the good facial care stuff I can't get here. At the time I was just looking at moisturizers. The place they had the men's stuff had a few different brands, but Jack Black was the oly one I recognized.
I got the moisturizer, but the woman effectively convinced my girlfriend that I needed the serum and clay mask treatment as well.
I had never even heard of using serum before, and I'm not sure what exactly it does for me, but it feels good putting it on.
Anyhow, the woman told me that the best way to use it is to mix one or two drops of serum with one drop of moisturizer on my hand. I did it this way for a while, but then I start to think it didn't make any sense and I am almost certainly diluting the SPF benefits of the moisturizer.
So, I have two questions about the serum:
1) What exactly is serum supposed to do for you?
2) What's the best way to use it?
And also, about the mask:
1) What are the benefits of the mask? When should I use it?
2) What is the proper method, and amount of, for applying the mask?
Finally, is any of this going to help with my large pores and acne scarring (not that bad... most people don't notice, but really gets on my nerves)?
