What's the difference between old ALKI - Museum Dark Brown and new ALKI - DARK BROWN MARBLE?

If it’s in the J. Fitzpatrick line, I think there were minor changes in the new stock, like 7 instead of 5 toe tacs. And the new stock stickered for a higher base price.

Of course marble brown patina is not the same as brown museum. Typically museum leather is finished at the tannery vs patina the shoe is produced in crust “white” leather and dyed by hand afterwards.

Yes, my order did not include those options, but they were $100 cheaper than currently.

J fitzpatrick shoes are beautiful looking but in my experience they are not durable, I own other brands such as trickers, cheaney, gaziano girling and alfred sargent and they still look pretty much as new after years of use, now I am no shoe expert but the "cracks" from the photographs below I haven't seen them in the other brands I mentioned.

My new pair of loafer in Berry suede. I love the color but can't figure out what color pants to wear. I'm thinking black jeans and charcoal chinos.

Nice. Did you go TTS, or size down? For trousers, I'd go tan/khaki/beige/stone, or blue jeans.

Just wondering, how long and what amount of wear it took for this to happen ?
