Reposting this for @The Shoe Snob

Justin, do you have solid examples of Moss vs Dark Olive vs Forest suede? As I said, I am thinking of a combination of an MTO together with dark brown grain, maybe in a Delridge, maybe a Bremerton.

On this page: https://www.jfitzpatrickfootwear.com/pages/mto-boots you list a Ballard and a Wedgewood as both being Moss suede, the Ballard leaning slightly more green than the Wedgewood. But also on that page you list a David with Walnut Museum calf/Moss suede shaft and in that makeup the suede definitely leans more to the brown spectrum.

Hey Justin, regarding the sea last. How is the toe box comparable to TMG? I find TMG in a boot shape great, but have excess volume in instep and heel.
Switching to a sea last in a shoe, same size is it a favourable fit for me? Don’t want any less room up front. For what it’s worth I usually have issue with the 4th toe

It is it possible to just describe the last differences in more depth. Thanks again!

I think Justin has stated that the SEA is on the narrow side of things in the toe box. The TMG and LPB lasts are more generous in the toe box.

    Hey Cal,

Suede version won't feel like less room in toe box but leather version will certainly feel like it. Instep and heel same as TMG.

sorry for the late reply. What are you looking for exactly?

The Moss is a very dark olive shade mixed with hints of brown hence why in different angles/lighting/pairing of leathers it might give off a different hues. The dark olive is just that: a darker olive color. It is far more 'green' than the moss. You can see in picture. This is the only reference i have of it. The forest suede is more of an Emerald green color.

sadly i do not have more to give you in terms of pictures of the three together or any two for that matter side by side dark olive green seude.jpg

My eBay find Lynwoods in taupe suede arrived and I'm wearing them today. I really like the color. Outside of a little edge dressing and a little light brushing on the right outside heel and toe needed and yet to be done, they are pretty much in flawless condition.

The SEA last is definitely on the pointier end, but even with that they don't squish your toes at all. They are very comfortable, light, and surprisingly roomy in the instep. So roomy in fact that the previous owner had placed tongue pads in which I wasn't aware of until they arrived. Good thing though as I would need to do the same thing since the eyelets are near touching as is. So all in all, a pretty perfect fit to these (as is). I'm still getting used to the "floppy" laces on these though and I need to figure out what other pants work with this color.

Not sure if it’s allowed or not (remove if needed), but I’m having a Jfp tony 2 wholecut US8 for sale, bought from the man himself. However, it doesn’t fit me, and it’s collecting dust for half a year... If anyone if interested please send me a dm and it’s in the SF B&S. Thanks

I tried to buy a pair of Stefanos from Justin back in 2013, when he was operating from Gieves & Hawkes in Savile Row. He was much smaller in those days, and the Stefano was only made on a narrow - too narrow - last.

I went without, and bought a pair of Derbies instead - still going strong.

Anyhow, Justin's now got a wider (pun intended) range, and I finally got my Stefanos this week, having bought them on sale (sorry Justin). What a superb looking shoe it is. A great buy, especially at the sale price, and even better if you're outside the EU.

Goes without saying, the service was top notch too.

They're my 4th pair of J FitzPatricks, and I'm very happy with all them. They punch well above their price point weight, and lose little when compared with more expensive shoes in my rotation.
