Obviously he didn't. This guy has had to endure some ridiculous unnecessary trash since he first posted. I'm surprised he's still wanting to participate in this forum given the abuse thrown at him. I think that if this happened to anyone of us, we'd be long gone and very pissed off.

I propose that the comments about the smell of his jeans. tearing his facts apart and general aggressive attitude shift to someone else at this point. Let this guy try to learn about something other than sarcasm and criticism.

Thanks for the pics, look pretty good. Maybe just the lighting but the blue in some areas might be brighter than I like, just personal preference. I think I'll try the shrink to fit rigid selvedge 501s next and see how they turn out, when I can find them on sale below $98.

I've been wondering about those STF 501 selvedges as well. They don't make them any longer than 34 inch inseam for some reason though.

Got a 34x30 in the mail today from Ebay. They're a bit bigger in the waist than I thought they would be...not too bad though. The 30 inseam runs about a 31.5 or so. Very different top block than the 34w Levi's 514 than I'm used to.

I may try to trade these for a 33x32 or sell them and look for a 33.

Either way, the denim is very nice on these. Definitely worth the $40 I paid.

J Crew has some LVC 47s (rinsed, not raw, so not sure if you can call them pure LVC 47s) up for sale in store only; I got a pair that was originally $265 for $78 a couple days ago

Unlike the ones in this thread, they also have the capital E and are made in the US
