Hey, Happy Monday people! I've decided to dump all my suits and start from scratch. Now I have nothing—not to say I had anything before

. Well I plan on leaving my current employment and start interviewing at companies as early as next month. I was recommended to check out J.Crew (across the street from work) by a co-worker of mine for a quick suit—I want to hold out for better quality suits but budget is very tight at the moment. I also figured these entry level suits will give me a nice feel of what I would want or not want in my future investments. I was interested in purchasing this suit: \t Ludlow two-button suit jacket with double-vented back in worsted wool I like the slim look and now they released the new SL fit's which are even slimmer. I read here that Theory suits are slim fitting; and my local tailor carries them. Searching around the forum also lead me to H&M suits—I'm trying to avoid H&M. Any experiences with J.Crew or Theory? Also any recommendations on single or double vents? ... I just need it to last a year—If longer great! Thanks in advance!

As per my experience on this forum, both options are going to be forthwith shot-down.

That said, as a man of relatively the same means as yourself, I have a closet of JC and Theory suits. (Almost bought my first BB one this weekend but got scared off even after loving it as per the price tag).

I find them to be very comparable in terms of fabric quality and modern/slim cuts. I have 2 theory and the Ludlow you linked to and another JC suit. All are functional, fit well and are not made of the finest fabrics in the world. Theory has an edgier cut.

My 2cents. Worth about that on the dollar.

I have the same Ludlow suit that you linked and I love it. It's not the best quality in the world but it gets the job done and I have received a lot of compliments on the fit.
