True, but they're doing bad even considering that. Their goods are just a little out of tune with the moment. That said, if I had a lot of cash to throw at the market, I'd put 10%, expecting a long term rebound.

If our wardrobe picks coresponded with good stock picks we'd all be wearing Walmart now.

I dunno, Q4 sales are going to be brutal, it may be better to wait until those numbers post and then buy. I can see the stock tanking another 10-20 percent.

RL is under 40 a share today too, down almost 50% in the last six months.

Funny, their current stuff appeals to me more than anything they've made in the last 20 years.

I was thinking the same thing, but FYI, I was sent an email that said that their sale is an extra 50% off. Better to check in the store rather than online. I've found some good deals at the last 50% off. i.e a tie for $10 dollars, a belt for $7.

you're absolutely spot on. something is wrong when j crew is charging $250 for jeans and $1400 for coats in this type of economy. it's no surprise they're not doing well.

This is one reason why the stock has lost ground/been downgraded. They've had to run more frequent and more significant promotions. I get an e-mail almost every other day from them. An additional 30% off women's coats (already on sale) in early November? While that will please my wife, it won't make the stockholders too happy.

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
