I wonder how he pulled it off, I thought they are limited by the system, it simply won't accept certain codes. Normally they call up the JCREW phone number and the call center places the special order.

Or maybe you are smoother than I am in buttering them up --

No, I asked if the student discount of 15% applied and he said it would but that he would honor the current 20% off that they had going on. He placed the order for me for full price and then refunded 20% to my card. I even got free overnight shipping. It worked out well for me and I intend on using the same gentlemen again when I make my next purchase.

I'm a fan of this Ludlow Coat. Thinking of picking it up as its 25% off eligible.

I just ordered this jacket. It has a ship date of Oct 22 so it'll be perfect for fall and winter. It's the last day to use the 25% off so I went ahead and jumped.

Nothing at J. Crew is worth the retail price. This is why they have that 15% off for students and teachers. It looks nice though. It's surprisingly affordable for a topcoat, given that the cashmere used may not be top notch.

If I didn't have a top coat already, I'd consider picking one up if I didn't want to spend much more money on one. It's a staple piece.

Welp. I jumped on it too and it's showing ready to ship. Yours probably is as well. Well played, J. Crew. Well played. All my waitlisted items are now ready to ship.

The overcoat; It says wool-cashmere in the description; wonder if it is a 90/10 blend? I think it would be good to cover up a ludlow suit. The model is wearing a jean jacket for some reason.

There is also vest of the same material. While i'm not all that interested in the vest I would love see pants in this material. This combo would make a great fall suit.

It would be great, but I doubt we ever see it. There's a similar 3 roll 2 suit for $450 + $228. I just wanted this jacket. I also ordered the Ludlow Chambray shirt, but I think i'll return that. Looked cool initially, but I've cooled on it myself since.

They also have the gray plaid suit in the same English Wool but the 3 piece version is over $900.

Has anyone taken their Jcrew 'secret wash' shirts to the dry cleaner and had them starched? I have done that on a number of shirts and want to know whether repeated starching has completely ruined the 'secret wash' feel or whether I can restore it some how.

    Thanks in advance.
