All of the items from the Spring lookbook will be out by the end of February, according to a representative I emailed.

Has anyone seen the regulation peacoat in person?

I actually bought it last winter. Its a beautiful wax cotton jacket. Its not very thick so it doesnt have the true functionality of a thick wool peacoat. Oh yeah and its pretty slim fitting. I usually wear J Crew medium with some layering room, but the regulation peacoat fits me very snug. Side note: after a couple of wears, two of the buttons start falling off so I had to get that fixed. But its one of my fave J crew pieces.

What do you guys think of the Baracuta jackets, specifically the G9 and G4 slim-fit?

I'm thinking about getting one but I don't know the difference. I know G9 is the classic though.

they make you look like an old man on a golf course. try it on though and if you don't think you can wear it, you probably can't.

I agree, if I had to pick one that would be it. Just dont be surprised if when you get it in real life that the color is a little off.

    agreed!

How much did you order? Everytime I have recieved 2 pounds or less it has come within a couple of days.

Check to see what they estimate and what it actually has been, if its over then give them a call.

Also remember today is a holiday, not sure if mail is sent.

New arrivals are here. Kind of underwhelmed although I did just order a pair of the new monk strap oxfords. Hopefully they'll fair better than the gifford oxfords I bought a few months ago.

    Thoughts?

I had a pair that split at the edge of the sole within 5 wears. Couldn't believe me eyes. J. Crew does a great job explaining how nice these shoes are but for the price they are not worth it.

I have been thoroughly underwhelmed by J. Crew shoes the past 3 years.

Cust Svce has always replaced the shoes with issues, but still....shouldn't be happening.

A few years back I inquired on this forum as to people's thoughts on J. Crew's shoes. One guy responded "You're getting thoroughly fleeced on these shoes and I suggest you look elsewhere for shoes at that price"

I didn't take his advice. I should have.
