Anybody have experience with how J Crew shoes fit? I'm checking out these:

If the link is broke, they are the Clifton plain-front leather oxfords. Trying to figure out what size I'd need and if you think they are worth $155. I don't have a lot of experience with casual type dress shoes.

You can do a lot better for $155. Never buy J.Crew at retail....

They aren't bad, if you can get them for sale. I have had the wingtips and they lasted a while; it's a good wet weather shoe.

aldens off ebay would be your best bet in that price range.

yes, try ebay. Search for alden or allen edmonds (tons on ebay). They retail for $300+ and you can get a great bargain. Cheapest pair I bought was only for $20.

Used to LOVE JC shoes. Used to be made in Italy. Now, they're mostly made in Romania, and the quality is not the same as 5-7 years ago. I have the Clifton. Bought it on sale...I like the shoe a lot, though I know I probably could have gotten better quality for the $.

I have always found that JC shoes do fit True to Size.
