I keep seeing "MC" all over this thread. What does it stand for?

Got the tobacco waxed calf longwings yesterday, fantastic shoes. Easily the nicest looking Alden shoe I've got. They run a bit big though, so I ordered a half size down also, and may return the 10 1/2D.

Were they narrow or a standard D width?

It does look nice, but my experience with J Crew sweaters has been terrible. If someone gets it, please report on how it holds up.

Not much in the store today! A couple of madras but not the one everybody's been creaming their shorts over. I wasn't impressed with the madras in stock. The SA said look toward end of Feb for next rollout and green madras should be in that. Also did not see the surplus sweater. They seem to be making a big deal out of their washed Levis. Perplexing.

Nothing to get hot and bothered over today.

I'm over jcrew. They need to add more varity and stop making the same shirts just with different patterns. Or maybe I'm in a funk.
They need more affliction Ed hardy kind of clothing. That'll get back into spending my jc cc

Same. Until I see something way different from the j, i see no reason to buy again. They need to do something different. This springs stuff looks just like last spring.

Meantime, I seem to be scoring big at the thrifts. Today's score: A 1940s vintage red/black lumberjack-like plaid jacket. Label says Emergency Garment. It is probably the coolest jacket I now owned. HEAVY wool. Funky pockets, including backwards facing ones on the back side! Not sure what you do with those! Let someone hug you from the front and stuff their hands/arms in there?

Its like the problem with Abercrombie and Fitch. It all looks cool but if you've been shopping there for years. you notice the same stuff..
