J Crew Pinwale Cord Suit

The pinwale that I have seen (and own) is a light summer fabric somewhat akin to seersucker in that there is a colour alternating with white which makes it look like a pastel. The one pinwale jacket that I have is red/white which reads as pink, the fabric is light and the jacket is half lined. I see any corduroy as an informal fabric and I would not want a suit of it in black (or navy or gray).

I thought pinwale referred to width of the ridges (they are spaced narrowly).

The suit looks good, but it requires a certain "something" to pull off a full corduroy suit. I dont have that something and ended with a beautiful (and very popular) caramel BB Corduroy suit that I use as separates...
