Poor college student looking for first suit. Came across someone with a nwt Ludlow suit for $350. I know j crew isn't the best, but for $200-$400 is there anything else I should be considering for a slim solid navy/charcoal staple?

If I found a new J Crew Ludlow wool suit for that price that fit me, I'd buy it.

I am not a fan of the lapel styling and the overall short/slim look of the jacket.
But if you like it ..by all means...

They're half-canvassed and styled for young men. Buy it, and wear it well. If you're young and thin it won't even look trendy on you. You have your whole life to wear conservative suits...and earn the money to buy them.

Pure luck on eBay. One navy, one charcoal. There are some sellers that somehow get hold of last season's stuff and I just got lucky but after that experience I would never pay retail for anything similar.

It's a pretty cool suit, and for that price there really isn't much else out there, is it?
