1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

The WB Black Watch work shirt is way better-looking, and more expensive--although, I've seen that on sale, too. Maybe a matter of preference, but the classic CPO Black/ Navy check is played.

I hardly ever buy anything final sale unless I am very certain that I will like it--given the no-return policy. This means only things I am certain will fit right and feel right, etc., usually those things that I've tried on in the store or that are similar to other item I have. For example, I pretty much know that a medium sweater is going to fit a certain way all the time, etc.

So if you're not sure about the buffalo check shirt, I say pass.

So, whats the word on the slim-straight Selvedge jeans? Size wise, should I get a larger number than normal? Also, does the color bleed onto other cloths?

    J. Crew is the name of the label. It's not somebody's name. LOL.

    J. Crew offers monogramming, so it could be that you got a piece that was monogrammed and returned. They say they don't take returns on monogrammed items, but it might have slipped through the cracks.

Well, maybe the owner was a J. Crew. John, Joseph, Jerry... Crew. It is possible.

Already returned it, ha. Hood also had the Barbour label stitching coming off. On top of that, it was made in Bulgaria, not England.

True to size, by which I mean true to J.Crew sizing. Not sure if the color bleeds, but I'd be careful with whatever you pair the jeans with until they're fully broken in. For reference, I have the selvedge in dark worn rinse.

It was written on the care instructions label in black ink. No monogramming either.

I tried on a JCP button-down tattersall shirt in Penney's today. Damn. Spot on for fit, as good as any of my J. Crew washed shirts. Downside--even though the shirt was 100-percent cotton, it felt a bit synthetic. Still... I'm feeling like I want to go back this week and grab it. Especially since full retail on this shirt is only $25.

If you like J. Crew shirts, you might want to check out some of the JCP stuff.
