^You realize that some people actually fit their clothes perfectly? I am 6'1" and 180lbs and I wear a small in the coats, and they fit like that.

I picked up a lot of stuff so far this season: fleece shawl neck w/ pockets and contrast collar, black fleece jacket, some wool pants (maybe return) and the millerain jacket (maybe return too)

I actually am impressed by J.Crew/s F-W... especially the darling Rustico Tweed crewneck.

And of course the Fair Isle...

A small in JCrew's coats fit your arms?

Haha you should be good man. Basically it went from 60 days to 30 days with a receipt. If you payed by credit check jcard they can look up your transaction. BUT if you DO NOT have a receipt you are screwed. The old policy was take it back and you get store credit. Nowww... your jsut fucked. So hold on to your receipt

I'm 6' 200lbs and fit into a medium just fine (fatigue jacket)...I could see someone 180 fitting into a small in their coats, they run pretty big.

I think the length would be a problem, unless he has very short arms. Moving in general might be a little hard too.

The sleeve length is fine on the jackets I have tried on such as the Sutherland. Maybe I don't have the longest arms, but most of their clothes fit me pretty darn well which is why I don't understand why people complain about how their clothes fit. They had to choose a demographic, luckily it's fits me, and if it didn't I would move on and find a company that does. No sense in complaining about something you can't change.

I think you prove the point that EVERYONE fits differently. If you are as tall as you say you are and fit a Small then great. I just have trouble wrapping my head around it. Anything shorter then a Large Tall looks funny on me and I am 6'6".

Fit pic? Can you reference size of jacket and height/weight please? I'm also interested in this jacket but not sure if the xs will be ok, as most of their outerwear fits me big, but I do have a nice v-neck from maybe 7-8 years ago thats still going strong, maybe the newer stuff is getting crappier? havent bought jcrew in ages so really cant compare yet.

The shirts I've tried arent really boxy but they're still pretty square cut imo, especially if you're a V^

Well you are a good bit taller than me, and it's also personal preference. I lose some range of motion with my clothes, but I would rather have that than lots of excess fabric.

For example, this shirt is a small, and fits me well in the body, and is even a little baggy in the arms and I am decently muscular.

This jacket is a small, and I would say it fits me perfectly. It looks a little tight through the mid section because I have my hands in the pockets, but usually it sits really well. And as you can see, the arms are definitely long enough on the jacket, as well as the shirt.

I guess my point is that I see people complaining about how their clothes don't fit very well, but I don't think it's J.Crew's fault. It's the luck of the draw I guess.
