    Anyone?

It's possible that they're just holding off the release on that coat until the colder months. Either that or their warehouses haven't received the shipments yet?

    6'1" 190 and you're trying to wear a small?

    I hope you die.

LOL! He's going for the so-fitted-I-can't-breathe look.

people carry weight differently, i don't know why you guys don't understand this. a lot of male models are well over 6 feet and around 160-190 depending on the build, yet have 31-inch waists and 36-inch chests, sometimes even less than that. my roommate is three inches taller than me and wears 2 sizes less than i do, and our BMIs are both considered "normal"

One benefit I'm finding from having gone overboard on J. Crew purchases this last year--I can donate some of it to my gf. Let her wear my thin grey cardigan the other day in a chilly restaurant and she looked so damned good in it that I gave it to her to keep.

    This.

How do you guys not understand that people carry weight differently? And especially how much effect lower body muscle mass can have, as you generally gain more muscle in your thighs/ass than arms
For example - I'm about 5 ft 8 and 145, but have a decent amount of muscle in my legs (not that much). Someone with a similar build to me but with skinnier legs could easily weigh 10-15 lbs less and wear the same shirt size.

Ok, but I would venture that most people 6.1 and 190 are not going to fit into smalls. For one thing, the length of the item. For another, the width across. Most of us in this height and weight class are not gonna be rail thin. But I can see how there might be some freakish exceptions.

this is not uncommon among people between ages 20-30 who might self-identify with the term "hipster."

Seems like I started major controversy on here haha...

Just to set the record straight, I did not buy the jacket in a small, nor did I plan on buying the jacket in a small. I simply did not like the cut of the medium so I tried on the small in the store to see what the difference in sizing was. I was simply trying to help the guy out by providing him another sizing reference since I was bigger then the other two people that posted. Obviously, I think people carry their weight differently and prefer their clothes to fit in a way that is comfortable to them. I recently finished playing two sports (basketball and lacrosse) in college so I probably carry my weight much different then the majority of the people that post on this site. I have found that J. Crew mediums fit me just fine in everything, except for the cuts of their outerwear.

So speaking of outerwear has anyone tried on the Holborn Trench Coat?? The description says it has been slimmed down and is a bit shorter then Sutherland so I am curious how the new fit will be. Thanks for the help.
