I know this may be a bit vague, but is Thinsulate worth the extra $15? How much warmer are we talking about?

i'd say its worth it...my peacoat has it and I can walk around in 30 degree weather with just a tee underneath.

+1. Thinsulate is amazing. I have the thinsulate peacoat as well; I was in Aspen last week and it was in the sub-zeros at night...that coat saved me. I bought some RL leather/cashmere lined gloves with thinsulate recently as well; way warmer than leather gloves generally are.

The 484 slim and urban slim are very similar in my opinion, with the 484 slim perhaps being slightly slimmer. I think it is just a marketing thing...

What are these pants everyone is referring to? The flannel lined chinos?

I got to try on the Cadet Jacket in the store tonight. It's pretty thin. I'm thinking it would be ideal for spring and fall.

Anybody know if the 20% off coupons that go out in some catalogs stack with this outerwear sale? I know the free shipping code does.

just got an email from J Crew about the $3,000 gift card they are giving away (as a contest). I would love to enter, but it's only for US residents.

I would buy 6 or 7 pairs of Aldens and flip them on B&S.

I'm 6'0 145 and have a small in mine. Fits perfectly. You want it to have enough room for layers underneath...

Hey, I have the same coat, bought month or so ago. I'm 6'0 and 155 lbs...I have the small. Fit really slim and well. Maybe even too slim in the beginning...the sleeves were a bit short but I paid $35 to get them extended at the tailor. Well worth it. Now the coat just fits perfectly. I'd say you should go with a small, you might have to extend the sleeves which isnt a big deal. I dont know how a tall small would fit?
