Yeah I noticed that too. I don't recall them being that thin in person last F/W. Maybe it's thinner this season but then again, the pics don't jive with some of the other imgs on their website.

Even in these two photos below, the lapels aren't that thin.

Although on my Ludlow cord blazer, the lapels are indeed that thin.

the raw denim feature on the homepage is silly. WTF is with jcrew and rolling jeans?

Are they really? They look super thin in some pictures, not so bad here:

Yeah the denim on the front page does not look very good. Not very dramatic for 6 months.

Hit both. They're really not that far apart (if you're used to walking a bit)

You'll kick yourself afterwards if you don't.

The lapels on JCrew's Ludlow suits are 2.5 inches. Is these match that cut then you shouldn't have anything to worry about. 2.5 inches is not that thin.

Their traditional cut suit (Aldridge) apparently has 2.75" lapels (which I would prefer, admittedly, if it weren't so ****** and bagg otherwise), so it's a pretty small difference. They're probably just using really tall models to accentuate the differences on the ludlow cut.

I really like those solid tweed sportcoats, what's the consensus on which color is more versatile, the Heather Charcoal or the Dark Charcoal?

Thanks

How do their Oxford shirts fare in weight and quality?

I have a relatively small budget to fill out a few needs and was wondering if I would be better off spending ~$150 on, say, a Gitman Bros shirt...or getting two from J Crew for the same price.

The Secret Wash button-down end-on-end shirt in waterfall would be an option too.

We have talked about it before. It is a fashion jacket. It is not meant to last forever.
If you like buy it.
The MC forum and those few people who know what lapels are, will think you are wearing a costume or a factory second/defect. But the majority of people(95%) will not notice or even care.
