i just received this in the mail
http://www.jcrew.com/mens_factory_c...22+4294967294+20~~~205+16~15~~~~~~~/38647.jsp

from the pictures it did look navy, however in low light
it almost looks black. my question is because it is
so dark would this blazer still work with either jeans
or chinos w/ walnut colored shoes?

updated - pics:

any advice for tailoring?
- shorten sleeves
- take in sides
- i know shoulders a little wide too bad that can't be fixed

how is the jacket length?

Of course it would.

However wear it only for the most informal occasions - it does not look good.

GBR's right - it can work for informal events only.
