Whew, thank god. If I saw that in the store, I'd probably want it.

the cardigans are nice, but I have to ask myself - how many shawl collar cardigans do I need?

Every time I buy one it seems like the last one I'll ever need, but it never is. I like this cabled one, but I prefer the black & white marled wool one that's supposed to ship in October, so I gotta hold out.

Same here. I'm even getting to the point where I'm asking myself how many sweaters period do I need. I seem to have accumulated an abundance.

I think I'm the only person remaining on earth that really doesn't like a shawl collar

    It's not that I don't like it, I just don't think it's "me".

It's not that I don't like it, I just think it's really hard to pull off. I've never seen anybody not look like an old man while wearing one. Even those old Steve Mcqueen pictures, he barely pulls it off and he's Steve Mcqueen.

Cable knit cardians always scream "grandpa at Christmas" to me, maybe it's a personal thing. I hope they have some other chunky knits this year though.

I think that's about right. It's not that I don't like it, it just definitely has an old man vibe (which is ok sometimes for sure). I guess the kind of tweener thing about them turns me off a bit too - kind of half blazer lapel, half crewneck or whatever.

Regarding the cotton rib sweater jacket, does anybody know if it will stretch out a considerable amount? I've never owned any J crew knits (cotton or wool) so I'm not sure. I would usually go with a medium but if it stretches out, it will probably end up being to big.

James Bond wore a nice shawl collar cardigan sweater I think, in the last movie.

Bond wore shawl collar cardigans in both the last two Bond movies. In Casino Royale, it was a bit looser fitting like last year's J. Crew. Quantum showed him in one that was a bit tighter and dressier.

I've got the cotton-ribbed and it doesn't stretch much at all.

Man, I hope J crew do a premium line in the future.

Sort of like RLBL / RLPL.

I would buy heaps more PRL if it was no horsee. That's a
deffinite plus for me with j crew, but I would really love a high quality line. They have good ideas and design, thier colours are excellent, I just want better quality.

    I'm so kopping the J.Crew Denim Detergent!1!11

On a serious note, the knits look good.

Damn, I love shawl collar cardigans. I have about 5 of them. [IMG]
