I saw a pullover at J.Crew that was something like 90%cotton/10% cashmere ... will this sweater last or should I go for something else? I'm trying to find a V-neck merino wool sweater.

I have one of these sweaters from a couple years ago (mine is 92/8 instead of 90/10 though). It's very soft and I really like it.

Care instructions say "machine wash warm gentle cycle" but the first time I washed it, a hole developed in one armpit seam. I've washed it a quite a few times since then, though, with no more damage.

I paid $19.99 for it and don't regret the purchase at all (I still wear it with the hole in the 'pit on weekends)

I have two. Very practical, but... both of mine have the same holes in the armpit. Want to file a class action suit?
