    Hi there,

I've had my IWC 3714-01 since around September of last year. I treat it really well - take it off every night when I sleep, never wear it during sports etc. Essentially, it never has to endure more than the standard day-to-day wear. About a week ago, I found that when I wound the mechanism, every so often it would 'click' a little out of place and then continue to wind smoothly. I left it, not wanting to make it worse, but when I checked yesterday, it just didn't wind at all. In other words, there was no friction whatsoever when I tried to use the winding mechanism, it was as easy to wind upwards (if you're looking at the watch on your wrist) as it was to wind downwards (which doesn't do anything even when the mechanism is working).

Basically, I'm assuming this isn't normal? Will it be covered on my warranty / guarantee as I've only had it for around 6 months? I bought it from a very large retail store in London, and have all the original paperwork etc.

    Thanks for the help [IMG]
