last number/name
marked euro size
equivalent US size
width (narrow; medium)
type of shoe (lace-up; slip-on; boot)
So we can organize the emerged list and have it pinned.
Next time somebody contemplates placing a long-distance order on an unfamiliar shoe, they'd be spared the usual rectal anxiety

This doesn't work because there is no consensus on the US conversion. "FWIW it fits fine on my medium to a ****-hair-wide 10D foot" is not enough reassurance for me.

You're right to an extent.
We've got a trainload of people on here who fit in C&J 348 without an issue.
I, on the other hand, pissed away 1/2 a day tracking down a pair in my size to discover that 348 is tight as a mutha

Now is a great time to be buying English shoes, bypassing US re-sellers who clearly took it up the ass while acquring their fall/winter '08 stock with $2-plus on the pound.
When BB's asking 5 bills plus tax for AS monks made of B-grade calf begins to look even more as a joke.
