I could go that way but would prefer something in metal. I'll be leaving it filled with the spirit and I don't want off flavours leeching out from the plastic.

I think you should get one of those antique atomizers with the ball pumps on them, sashay into the room, spritz, then sashay out and return as your normal self. It could be your performance art.

I don't think I'm sophisticated enough to pull that off; I know my limitations.

Piob, you can get travel-sized metal atomizers (fragrance-related).

Just sounds like you need to pop out the glass cylinder and I'll slice a cork to use in the bottom. Should work fine for under $7.

Has anyone yet experienced the Beaufort bar located in the Savoy?

If not, I highly recommend it. The bar excludes an old world, art deco air and the service is smooth. Of course you would expect only the highest of standards in such a stupendously magnificent place. But what perhaps I enjoyed the most was the theatrical experience...

I have been booked to stay in the Nimb Hotel the week after Christmas, has anyone any feedback for the Nimb Bar? I have heard the are quite well known for their innovative cocktails from an ever changing menu. Reviews/comments would be much appreciated.

    Many thanks.

Anyone have any ideas on what I might use cranberry, lemon, grapefruit, cherry, or peach bitters for? I found a local liquor store that has a decent selection of fee brothers stuff, but I just can't think of a way to justify any of those flavors to myself.

I have the grapefruit, cherry and peach bitters. Well, I also have the lemon bitters, but those are completely useless I find.

As for the others I enjoy a dash or two in a G&T. Peach bitters are needed for some cocktails like the Bicyclette and others. Cherry gets used quite often (as does peach) as an accent flavour in bitters-heavy drinks like an old fashioned or manhattan. Couple dashes of Angostura and a dash of cherry, or Fee Bros Old Fashioned or whiskey barrel aged bitters with a dash of peach to mix things up.

Their use depends on your tastes and how deep into cocktail history you want to go in terms of recipes that call for their use.

    My Negroni is aging.

Also, it's odd that I have not been a strong participant in this thread. I love Rosle gear, but recently they stopped making it. Their Long Bar Spoon was perfect. I also like some vintage accoutrement, like this beautiful Art Deco shaker:

I can see the VTR bitters there. I ran out over Xmas. While I'm having fun with Bittercube right now that bottle of VTR bitters took part in hundreds of good drinks.
