Part 5: Rubinacci is now up. I did this one as fast as I could, so please pardon any errors. Enjoy!

Just wow. That's one of the most exquisite shops I've ever seen.

A 20-something law student getting fitted for a Rubinacci...I only hope I can be so lucky in a few years! Keep on keepin' on, my friend.

Very nice. You clearly had a lot of fun with it. Thanks for posting it all.

I'm curious about the ironing of the jacket.

You're a hard man to declare your Oxxford 'chainmail'!

from this day forth, let it be remembered:

I try to insert comments here and there where I think they might be relevant. I don't actually have much useful to say, but I really want to feel like I'm participating.

I find the blog great, interesting, informative, and, with quotes like the above, amusing.

Thank you.

My compliments - one of the best examples of sartorial travel writing I have read.

I have just talked my wife into a holiday in Naples.

Places that expertly conceived to prise your money from you should probably be illegal.

Thanks for all the flattering compliments!

I thought twice about comparing my Oxxford jacket to chainmail: was such a metaphor really fair?

Then I thought about the Rubinacci jacket and the metaphor seemed expressively appropriate if not at least somewhat hyperbolous. I just wanted to convey this: there is a world of a difference. The topic of cloth weight vs. overall jacket weight came up at AA; I think it is telling that the weights of the cloth used in my Oxxford jacket and those selected for my Rubinacci jackets are about the same while the latter jackets feel so much lighter nonetheless.

Glad to see that some people rediscover Napoli as a menswear destination

PS: Lobb's is a "french" brand (owned and runned by Hermès) the only british stuff is made by the family owned shop in London
