I just bought these for a pittance. They seem to be one-wash or so, and with a few "quirky" details, which I normally avoid in jeans, but these were cheap enough to give a try. The quirky details of the chain and the intertwined loop on the back are leaving. I don't know yet if I want to make other modifications - any suggestions? On the other hand, I haven't been able to find out anything much about them by googling, and the search function here doesn't allow three-letter word searches. So: Does anyone know anything about this make? I couldn''t even find their website. Pics:

I like the look of that denim, and I agree that the extra loop and chain should go.

fdn are the initials for Fabio Di Nicola, and he's relatively new to the fashion scene and not well known yet. He has some interesting stuff that I think many S&D people would enjoy wearing.

The seam going from mid thigh to hem in the front (and I'm assuming back) is tacky looking. Unless you iron a crease into jeans, then its ok, you could probably cut lemons on that thing.

Thanks! Found it, btw: www.fdn.it . Looks well made, but not normally my cup of tea.

I agree - those seams are what I meant by "quirky details" in the first post. They go all the way up in the back, and are knee-high in front. I was hoping they weren't that noticeable, but there it is...

Reporting back; in three months, in which I've probably worn them something like ten-fifteen times and two or three washings, these jeans, have lost one belt loop completely, two have worked themselves open at the seams, the waist button (twice) and a fly button has gone AWOL, and it seems like the seams are opening in two or three places. Oh, and it's not because I wear them too tight, the denim has stretched a lot. The denim itself is generally holding up well enough, and actually seems like it would fade and age well. And those odd seams are still annoying me. They are now demoted to beater jeans. I paid something like $70 for them, I think they were priced at something like $250 when I first saw them in the same shop. Well, I'll just call it gathering experience. Pic:
