hey, today my dad just got back from a ski trip and said he had something for me. he hands me a khaki and black, kind of criss cross patterned, tweed sports coat, that reminds me of something Colonel Mustard would have worn, or something a respectable guy woulda worn in like the 30's 40's etc. He told me a friend of his got it custom made for his son when he was traveling in italy, and it turned out to be too small for his son, so he gave it to my dad to give me. it actually fits pretty nicely (im a pretty slim guy and not too tall either, so nice jackets etc r harder to find)I think it looks a little bit old manish, but I think if I zazzed it up a bit with some other cool pieces of clothing i could pull it off (it is a unique coat, and it kinda has a vintage look to it). SO my question is, what the heck do I wear it with?? (obviously formal wear, but i have no idea which colors etc) any brilliant ideas would b appreciated. thanks-

Well Colonel Mustard, I would only suggest that tweed isn't so formal.  Wear the coat everywhere and with everything from slacks to jeans for about a week, and see where you draw compliments.  That'll give you a good idea of how to wear it. =)
Sounds like a fun coat really.

Haha, thanks for the reply Tom. I don't know if this would change any answers but im a high school student, so I dont think I would have too many opportunities to wear it in every day life, thats why i assumed it should be formal- Although when i tried it on I had a pair of faded blue jeans and it looked pretty snazzy with the coat.. but i dont think id b bold enough to wear that at school.
