it seems the world is against me, i never thought could be so hard to find a light grey tie with white polka

Nice polka dot ties have been the hardest thing for me to find. Cheers in the search.

I'm going out on a limb here, but you might want to try Charvet. Last time I was in their bootique in Bergdorf Goodman's they seemed to have every imaginable tie pattern one could think of.
