Hi everybody, been a long time user and reader but here is my first post.
I have read all the ISAIA threads here but couldn't seem to find an answer.

I recently bought a Isaia suit on french destockage site "vente privée" at 800 euros it seemed like a bargain. Only problem I can't seem to understand which model it is:

Note : suit seems to be half-canvassed
    Could you guys help me?

    Thanks

this doesn't seem like a normal isaia tag. it may be a special make just for vente-privee?

I'm guessing that aswell. I never tryed a normal ISAIA suit so hard for me to compare but buttons looks cheap and the buttonholes are all made by machine.

I've seen those on Ebay as "2015" models, so could be a brand new tag?

Interesting tags. I have a suit and SC with the newer big red square patch but the interior tags are still the same as they've been for years. You could try emailing them or even messaging them via social media. I sent a message via Facebook a while back and got a response.

Those are the new tags that ISAIA uses. I have two MTM ISAIA from this fall from Barneys that have that same tags as above.
The MTM from spring has the old tags as below

Hello there, It's Gregorio (GREGORY) model from 2015 collection. I also picked up quite a lot of suits on the aforementioned VP sale and I asked an ISAIA contact about them.

    Howdy folks!

I fell in love with this Isaia blue blazer after seeing it online, however, I can't seem to find it anywhere. The shade of blue is perfect.

I think it's been discontinued. This one seems close, although slightly brighter?

I have yet to see another manufacturer sell a blazer/sportcoat with a similar shade of blue; most blues out there seem too dark!

Any suggestions as to close substitutes or somewhere I can pickup a used Isaia for not-$4000?

I would suggest picking up the following ISAIA sportcoat from the French previous season destockage website Vente-Privée. It is a cotton-wool beauty and it's selling on VP for around 550USD. [IMG]

Thanks for the tip, San780! Alas, it looks like the hue of blue on the website you recommended is just a touch too light.

No worries! Or go for something bolder! ;-)

ISAIA does this color pretty often for their PE collection. I'm sure you'd find something that fits the bill.

The LBM 1911 might have the closest shade of blue. But the Isaia blue is still nicer, and more subtle, IMO.

I'm afraid one can't compare ISAIA with LBM. LBM 1911 however does quite a lot of different shades of blue every season (especially the blogger blue color you are looking for). Construction-wise these are two different animals though...

By the way, in case you are looking for the same ISAIA model, look for MORFEO model (Drop 8). I believe this particular jacket was part of PE2011 collection.

Does anybody have any idea what "Nuova base "S"" is? I saw it on a model in an on-line shop, so was wondering... How are the shoulders, buttoning point (this one is 2 button), are front quarters open....
    Any info highly appreciated.
