Isaia Label Question

Quick Question:

I am looking at buying an Isaia sport coat online and I am concerned because the label does not match the measurements - I would attribute this to tailoring, but the measurements are too big not small.

The pictured label says 54 and then also has an 8R under "drop". I have an Isaia suit jacket that has the exact same label, in the Base "S" and it fits great - this says Base "S" on the label as well. My questing whether or not the R in 8R means "regular" as my regular suit jacket is labeled the same?

Any thoughts?

The jacket measurements online are:

Chest: 22.5
Length: 31.5
Sleeves: 36.6
Shoulders: 18.5

These feel totally wrong to me based on the label and compared to my suit at home with the same label.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

R is indeed Regular length. In terms of the drop, it's telling you the trouser cut is regular, which would make sense if the jacket length was R too .

Sounds like the sleeves were a bit undermeasured and the coat length was a bit overmeasured, but not dramatically so...

Is the suit advertised as new or as altered?

If unaltered, do you know your sizing in Isaia S Type? If not, i wouldn't use Ebay to experiment. Try one through Sierra Trading Post, which has a good number of Isaia suits and has a very liberal return policy.
