I tried on an Isaia suit for the first time last week.  I normally take a 40R, but the 50R Isaia (equivalent to a 39R/40R according to the saleslady) felt a little tight in the chest.  The 52R Isaia (equivalent to a 41R) seemed like a better fit.  For all the Isaia-wearers out there, is it usually the case that you have to move up a size from what you usually wear?  If it is, I fear that if I ever bought an Isaia, I would have to get the slacks recut from a 36 to a 33.

It's quite common for a Euro 52r to fit like and measure to a US 40 regular. So nothing unusual there - just go with the size that fits better.
