I recently picked up this black Isaia SC that fits better than anything has ever fit me before. I also do not own a black SC. I also understand that black SC's are frowned upon here - so please refrain from regurgitating this SF groupthink here as I am already well aware of it. This is not a troll thread, seriously.

First, I would be wearing this in fairly casual circumstances. The current buttons are black, but was thinking of swapping them out. Any advice on color? Perhaps an ivory/tan horn?

Second - For Isaia specifically, is there any way to tell from the fabric tag if a jacket is a SC or part of a suit? Given the open weave of the material I'm fairly sure this was meant as a SC, but I have always wondered if there was a way to definitively tell from the fabric tag (as opposed to obvious markers such as stripes, worsted material, etc.).

Thanks!

Not tan horn. Smoked mother of pearl.

Gray trousers, or blue jeans. White shirts, open at the collar. Tan suede shoes. Borderline-outrageous silk hank.

It is probably an orphaned suit coat, suits of that cloth are not unusual.
