I know there are a few threads about this but none answers my question.

There are some Base S argento suits. Is argento a line or the name of a model? Is it a lower level line?

not sure if this answers your question, but i've only seen them sold at outlet stores and sierra trading post. i have a few of the argento suits. no discernible differences quality-wise between those and my regular isaia napoli suits.

Not sure, but I can tell you I bought one at the isaia sample sale a few months ago. Quality comparable to my other isaia suits, that is to say, excellent. Only difference was it was made with a differnet fabric, something called spider sciammeria, which as in understood was menat to be stain resistant. all wool, 120s I believe.

I think there is speculation that it is made for Off Fifth Saks. I don't think anyone has evidence to confirm this.

I'm wearing an Isaia Argento SC right now. I got it off Sierra Trading Post. I agree, the quality is just as good as Isaia Napoli, to my eyes at least. It's actually one of my favorite coats. The fabric's a wool/cashmere blend, it's sweet.

It's not, it's just an older model/line. Barney's carried it ages ago. When they discontinued it, that is when the discounters got their hands on it. I have one, probably 6-7 years old.

^^This. It is a line, it is not a model. And it is an older top quality line, not a lower quality line. I have multiples of both current line and Argento and they are made to the same standard.
