Literally with nothing better to do while I was surfing SF and AAAC, I went to Ebay. Someone had once posted a website www.fatfingers.com whereby you can search for misspellings, primarily on Ebay I guess. I typed in Zegna and lo and behold the following Zegna Trofeo coat came up as an "Ermenegildo Zenga (sic)" coat. It was $9.99 start price and there were only about 45 hits all week for the auction traffic. So, though I don't need it, and probably won't wear it, I bought "The Bargain!". No big deal, it was a $20 total investment! From the pictures below, can anyone tell if the Zegna is a 3/2 roll coat, and do you think it might be a sport coat or is definitely an orphan.

BTW: The above photos are from the seller's Ebay listing. I haven't received the coat yet. Thanks in advance!

For $20 you did really well, regardsless if it's an "orphan".

I cannot tell you if the jacket is a 3/2 roll, but it it appears to be grey or olive so it's a versitile colour. You could easily match it with navy or charcoal trousers, or, like the seller, wear it with a pair of jeans.

Thanks for the link to the website. I'll use it to see what I can find.

Regards,

LBW

Yes to both, but I think due to the pattern it is still useable as an odd jacket.

And don't button the bottom button.

What is a 3/2 roll, the same as a 3-roll-2? In that case, shouldn't you leave also the top button unbuttoned?
