Is this type of damage repairable? Tailor advice needed.

I posted this in the Tailor Thread but my post went unanswered.

I wonder if this type of damage (around 1.5cm at the edge of the back pocket of the trousers) can be repaired?

Thanks in advance!

Eh...technically torn fabric is supposed to be rewoven and if it was in a high visibility spot like the front of a jacket or right on the thigh or something then sure, but in this particular situation, the fabric is dark, the tear is right on a seam, and it's on your ass no less where no one's really looking, so I personally would probably just have the laundromat seamstress patch it up for a $10 and call it a day.

There is more than one way to repair this.
Don't recommend reweaving in a stress area. Stress from sitting and putting tension on the torn area and from using the pocket.
Some tailors will top stitch the area with a small, tight zig zag stitch. Not pretty and will show. It is also the most secure way to patch it.
What I've done is to create and sew a new dart front the waist band seam down thru the torn area and extending past the pocket. Make a machine/hand bar tack at the edge of the pocket to secure the area.
The person you find to work on this may have another idea.
