For someone turning 30, is this style workable?

Cheers in advance!

Sorry for the lousy camera phone pics.

I'd rock it if it was slim enough and on the shorter side.

And I would wear it if it was not too short or too slim.

The pattern is fine, but to really tell if it would look right for you we would need to be able to see the whole lapel, silhouette, button stance, and so on, and we can't see any of that from your pictures.

I could swear I was eyeing one from BB with same pattern on eBay, makes me think it could be the same one! Is it 46L?

Oh please! Grampa, you left your jacket at my house again!!!! Very nice pattern -- if you're a million years old! Goes great with Depends (TM)!!!

As an old man, some one over 35, I think its hot. Mix it with the right blue shirt, twill, gabardine pants or chinos. Give some serious thought to the shoes and you have a winner.

And if you still feel its too old man for you drop it off at my retirement village.

This is the kind of coat that is hailed, celebrated, feted, adored in the hallowed halls of SF but out there in the real world is rarely seen outside of an assisted living facility. Extra points if it comes with those leather buttons that look like a 1950s football.

Thanks for all the feedback people...both good and bad!

I bought it on a whim, w/o even trying it on...mistake #1, but I can return it. It is a 40R, which is what I generally wear. Once home and getting around to trying it on, it is not slim...more of a "classic" fit which brings me to my 2nd issue - I find it a little boxy, but am no expert in SC fit. I will get a proper fit pic up soon. Looking forward to any and all feedback.
