Hey guys! I'm new here. I'm a white, slim 44R, and I just lost about 70 pounds and wanted to get a new cool suit. So I bought this one, and I don't know if it's right for me. Is this out of style, it is a little over the top?

I hope this is not a troll.

The shining suit had never been in the style book of the elegant men's clothing. You might be in the wrong forum.

Unless you are a skinny Koeran pop star, With the correct fit this might look OK

The suit is ok but no need to buy another like it.
Welcome to Styleforum SuperRick and congratulaions on the weight loss.

Mr Lint don't get me wrong, but a shinny silvery suit will only look good on skinny good looking young man, the majority of male population aren't made for that

It is of very limited use, silver suits of this ilk are neither fashionable nor a classic - has this come from eBay?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder maybe?

All shiny suits require you to be good looking and young to pull off. I have one and wear it out to bars. But I would not dare to keep on wearing something like it once I'm the wrong side of 50.

Tom Cruise is better looking at 50 than I was at 8% body fat. He's also paid to be good looking. I highly doubt I'll be able to maintain 10-12% indefinitely.

I doubt the fabric of your suit will be as nice as his.

This is a 'sharkskin' fabric, not the poly blend fabric

I responded to this question in the Ask a Question... thread, so I'll just paste my response here. The OP bought this suit: http://www.ebay.com/itm/120865471021?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

Congrats on losing weight! Obviously it's a personal choice whether it's over the top, but since you're soliciting opinions I can tell you that it's over the top for anyone. As it was already said, it's made of plastic and looks that way. Synthetics like that might be great for space travel, but not dinner or work. Take a look around here and you'll see plenty of "over the top" done both very right and very wrong. If you're unsure of whether it falls into the "right" or "wrong" category, just read the comments associated with it, you'll soon get a group consensus. Good luck!

I hope you didn't look at what Zac Efron wears and thinks that "I want to look cool like him!"

Nope, I'm not a troll or a Korean Pop star, and certainly not a Zack Effron fan. Just a guy looking for some advice, if this is the wrong forum for that then I apologize. I appreciate everyone's comments.

What led to me buying this suit was I saw a friend at church who had on a sharkskin, and I thought it looked great. His was darker, more of grayish rather than silver. It looked good on him and he's 5'8", I'm 6' and younger than him (32 - and look like I'm in my 20s). If I don't like it maybe I'll put it on consignment or return it, I guess I won't know until I get it.
