Is this shirt sleeve the right length?

I realize the rest of the shirt is particularly ill-fitting. I bought this shirt (BB Slim Fit) when I weighed around 275, and I now weigh closer to 200. Realize that I know this, and unless you are here to give me great advice where to buy my next shirts for the price of BB or under, I'd really appreciate not pointing out how ****** the shirt is. (or the pants. I know.) Is the sleeve the right length? I keep vacillating back and forth between yes and no. I distinctly remember an inch shorter showed no cuff at all out of a jacket.

Right sleeve looks good. Left sleeve looks a little long (1/4" to 1/2").

I pretty much agree with JBZ, but see how it looks/feels if you move your arms around. Also, if you're going to be wearing a jacket more often than not, try it with the jacket on. They way the shirt adjusts as you move around, and whether the shirt tends to ride up a bit under a jacket, can make make a bigger difference than fine adjustments to how the shirt hangs when your arms are held unnaturally rigid at your sides.

Also: (1) button the top button when evaluating sleeve length, unless your usual practice is to wear the shirt open-collared; and (2) (apologies if this is obvious) if the shirt otherwise fits badly, you may want to have the body tailored before tinkering with the sleeve length, since there may be a ripple effect.

I'd say it is maybe a touch long, although the wrists also look too wide--they shouldn't slide down onto the heels of your hands like that.

Also, although presumably you know this, the shoulders are way, way too broad. That is a much bigger problem than the length at your wrist. The shoulder and sleeve head should meet at your shoulder, not halfway down your upper arm.

^^ I am aware. I'm only referencing the sleeve length for when I buy new shirts.

I think grimslade has a point esp if you are only referencing for sleeve length. You will underestimate the sleeve length as the shoulders are lower on the shirt you have on.
Congrats on losing 75lbs. Thats an achievement!

Except that shoulder length for shirts is measured from the middle of the yoke to the end of the sleeve--not from the sleeve head.

Grimslade, I had this debate with my tailor recently, i assumed the same when the original poster specifically mentioned sleeve length and you referenced his shoulder (not the usual RTW measurements on shirts).
Regards.

I just threw in the remark about the shoulder width because, as you said, not everyone knows it, and I wanted to make sure that the OP was speaking the same language, as it were, as everyone else.
